The founders
In 2013 Al and Hannah moved to Devon to raise a family and set up their own business. This started life at street food markets & festivals, serving Middle Eastern inspired food out of a vintage VW razorback; scooping up street food awards and crowds at their meticulously crafted festival stall. As the festivals grew, the event catering was also picking up but taking a more refined form, so Fego was born. Since 2015, Fego has been creating and curating bespoke, personal and exciting event menus. From fine dining plated menus to hearty sharing feasts, Fego brings the logistical expertise from those London based banquets, creative flare and a very personal touch to every event they deliver.

Al
Alastair is Fego's head chef. He plays a pivotal role in shaping the culinary experience that Fego Food Co is known for. With a commitment to innovative, bright and bold flavors, he designs menus that reflect and enhances the beauty and richness of local produce found in Cornwall and Devon. In addition to menu development, Alastair oversees the kitchen operations, drawing on his experience in leading kitchen teams for a large events company in central London. Catering for royalty, delivering State Banquets, cooking in some of the most famous and prestigious venues in England such as St James Palace, The Albert Hall; he ensures that each event is executed seamlessly.
Creativity comes naturally, as Alastair is a self taught chef. He has been working his way up in kitchens since leaving school. Restaurants, chalets in the French Alps and private chef roles filled the years before a move to London where he worked in acclaimed restaurants, before shifting into the event catering sector.
