What is down to earth luxury?

It’s effortless refinement; wearing a timeless Emma Beaumont Atalier dress walking across the Devonshire cliffs. It’s a tipi marquee heavily laden with the heady scent of roses, foliage and bergamot candles. It feels special, personal, elevated. There is a sense of occasion; every detail is considered and execution is seamless. However it it is grounded, authentic and unpretentious, friendly and gentle.

Kit & Imogen’s wedding wove tradition, luxury, elegance and a very unique story together; evident in the details blending their love of literature & outdoors, hiking & camping; of fun & refinement together. The food was integral and thoughtful. Yet it was accessible and playful. Imogen & Kit wanted their food to speak of their favourite feasting memories: under the stars, around a camp fire, in the wilderness of Dartmoor. So an elevated lift of some classics: hand made ravioli starters. And canapes in picnic boxes to include a kettle chip & Sharpham Brie sandwich (can a crisp sandwich ever be luxurious, answer yes). An immersive & interactive sharing main course- pots of living salad invited guests to pick their own to add to sharing platters of rolled stuffed Devonshire lamb, grilled aubergines & crisply bocconcini. Considered choices of champagne for the toasts: sourced from independent growers by Sip Champagnes.

Generosity of flavours, of colour, texture, scent & atmosphere imagined by the couple and carried out by a stellar cast of suppliers: Sam’s Wild Tipis, Miranda Hackett Flowers, Olivia & Dan Photography, Out of The Ordinary Weddings. With Sip Champagnes and Fego Food Co. A day we’d revisit in a heartbeat.
